are not forced to book a guide, of course.

speaking driver will take you around but he
cannot escort and explain you INSIDE
monuments and sites because standing to the
italian law only LICENSED guides are allowed to
do this.
- Also, the driver
cannot escort you to the small pedestrian areas
of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, because it's
hard to find a park for the car.
- In case you do not
book a guide you will explore the pedestrian
areas and the sites on your own, while the driver
will be waiting for you out of the pedestrian
areas near the car.
